A New Look plus A New Home

Dearest friends,
Greetings I hope this finds each of you well and rejoicing in the love, victory, and grace of our Savior. As you can see someone has been busy working away at Authentic Virtue and I must tell you that that someone was not me! :)  My dear friend Sonja from Girlish Musings recently opened up her shop of talent and love and is now creating blog layouts for free! She recently finished mine and did'nt she do a lovely job? I cannot tell you how thankful I am to Sonja. Her work radiates an artist's eye, diligence, and a desire to bless and meet the desires and expectations of those she is blessing. Thank you sweet friend! Please visit Sonja's blog--she is truly a fellow daughter of the King who will be a blessing to you. :)

Just recently, my dear Daddy and Momma bought a home. We have been so excited for this home because it included land and was more private; in so many ways it reminded us children of our beautiful and most-loved home in Alaska!! Daddy (and dearest Momma) have been busy planning, tearing down, and building up our new castle and below are just a few pictures of the tearing down/building up process.

The stairs. A dear friend of the family has been working on these; much progress has been made seeing the orignal stairs were on the other side of the house! :)

The kitchen/living room area.

Right of the kitchen peeping into the hallway, bathroom, and laundry room  (also peeping in on helpers!).

Taking a break for some photos. :)

Sweet Siblings.

Or not so sweet. :)

May the Lord bless your week friends!

  1. Oh, this is such a fun post. I LOVE seeing what people are doing with their homes. Please share more about your home and the surrounding land as progress is made (if you want to). It's so fun to imagine what the house will look like when it is finished. Once the walls are finished out and painted, and furniture is moved in! I'm sorry you are having to do this during the winter months though. I hope you are staying warm during the construction process. Are you actually living in that house while working on it (I'm guessing not since it did not look like the kitchen was useable).

The last picture with your siblings made me laugh out loud. The expression on your face is priceless--you almost look frightened, like you are thinking "oh my goodness, what is she going to do next?!?"

Your new blog template looks gorgeous! Isn't it such a blessing to have the help of such talented people?

I would also like to say that I *really* love and admire your modest dress. I know how very difficult (believe me I know) it can be to dress modestly and Biblically in this world. I work as a secretary in a secular environment, and wear ankle-length skirts, long sleeve high-neck blouses and I have recently begun covering my hair (with a bun cover). I just want to encourage you to continue with your commitment to come out from the world and be separate (2 Corinthians 6:17). I know it is a difficult road to walk. I am so thankful for the Internet and for the blessing of blogs where we can fellowship across the miles even if we can hope to meet in person only in Heaven! :)

  2. Frannie, how exciting to have a new home. I guess, like Miss Linda says, that you arent actually living there yet, but what a lot you have to look forward to.
Do keep us in touch with all that happens!
