Dear Sarah from Through the Lilac Bushes has given me a sweet award--thank you so much! By the way, if you have never visited Sarah's blog you should skip right on over there. I especially like her "Characters on the Ranch" page . . . so cute!
The goal is to list 7 random things about myself and then to tag 10 fellow bloggers. I'll do my best!
1. I just made my first (successful) batch of home-made bread a month ago.
2. I was born in Alaska and lived most of my life in a town called North Pole.
3. I love history--my class is currently studying the effects of the Civil War. Did you know that Lincoln said, "I have been driven many times to my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I
had nowhere else to go. My own wisdom, and that of all about me seemed
insufficient for the day."
4. I am currently reading L.E. Maxwell's World Missions Total War.
5. My favorite flower is the hydrangea.
6. I have an endearment to Norman Rockwell's artwork. Pieces like the following put a smile on my lips and a warmness in my heart. Trot over here for more of Rockwell's work.

7. "She hath done what she could." It's the words Jesus spoke after the woman broke her alabaster box o'er His feet. While others criticized and ridiculed her Jesus gave the simple statement, "She hath done what she could." At the end of her life Fanny Crosby had a simple stone set up with the same quote on her epitaph. It seems so bland, so short of the mark and yet it is these words which Christ stated to a woman who we admire and use as an example.
"She hath done what she could."
My number 7, to endeavour to be worthy of such a quote.
