Greetings dear friends! I hope all are well; we were blessed with rain last night, something which we haven’t had in a very long time!! It was a pleasant sight to see rain puddles this morning! :o)
We all know that flowers need water and sunshine to live--but in perfect balance. When plants receive too much sun they begin to dry and die early. Likewise, if plants receive too much water they also to die. But if plants do not have enough sunshine or water they will wither up. The perfect balance of the warming sun and life-giving water is needed for plants to thrive. Isn’t it neat that Jesus Christ is both light and water to us?
“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” John 8:12
“I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.” John 12:46
“And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. John 3:19”
“Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? . . .
Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”
John 4:9-11, 14
God is our perfect and faithful Father. He is never out of balance. So often we humans go to the extreme right or left, but Jesus and his ways are straight and true. He is life; He is our sun and water! Now, let us go out and grow in the love of Jesus Christ!
Have a blessed day!
