Hello all! I joined Jenna at Feminine Farmgirl and Feelin Feminine for the April challenge. . .the challenge of dressing femininly and modestly for one week! I've been wearing skirts and jumpers for about five years, pretty much since I became a Christian. I did not start out dressing modestly though. Before I became a Christian I tried to dress as immodestly as I could in order to gain attention from men. This is such a sad state to be in and I thank the Lord that He has helped me in dressing modestly and desiring to be a blessing~ not a hinderance ~to men and Christian brothers in Christ. I also cover my head. . .something for which I have gained many bessings from! So, I hope as I post my outfits for this week I may be a blessing and encouragement. Let's rise to the highest, dear sisters, and glorify our Lord in our dress (which starts with our hearts!)
Day One:
Here is the outfit I wore on Easter Sunday. Momma and I found our outfits while visiting Pennsylvannia last week. I'm wearing a paisly light pink and black skirt, a purple shell, and a light black sweater which I really like because it is feminine and modest. Momma is wearing a purple flowered skirt which buttons in the front and a purple blouse (very sweet).
Here's Momma! So pretty!
I work at a Christian camp called Discovery Ministries as a cook. Because we had a group of campers over Easter weekend I had to go in on Sunday afternoon to make up a little meal. So, I quickly changed into a jumper, white shirt, my favorite white sneakers and bobbie socks (so cute:). I have found jumpers to a real blessing. They are feminine, practical, and because I am a little bigger they have proven to be one of the best ways to be modest. Please excuse the dying dandilions! :)
Day Two:
Here I am on Monday afternoon. I'm wearing a white jumper with a blue and red flower print, a blue t-shirt, and a pair of sandals. Thank you Jeremiah for being such a willing and good photographer.
May the Lord bless your day sisters! By His grace,

Dear Frannie,
ReplyDeleteI have never been to your blog before, and found it today from your FF link on Jenna's blog. So far I have been encouraged by the seemingly sweet, quiet, sincere, and loving spirit with which you write. I hope to visit again, if I can remember your blog address *rolls eyes* I have so many blogs I like to read that I tend to forget the addresses sometimes, and writing them all down doesn't do much good either, 'cause I just lose the paper! *Gives exasperated sigh* ;) So if I don't come back, that is probably the reason.
I love your Easter outfit!
Blessings sister!
SOLI DEO GLORIA!

ReplyDeleteDear sisters,
ReplyDeleteThank you all for leaving your comments! I feel blessed by knowing I'm being able to bless others. I praise the Lord. To Kyrie, I understand about not remembering addresses! I have a hard time with that too! :) For Addie, I look forward to visiting your blog and thanks for "following" me! And for Hannah, thank you. We have lived in this location for about 1 1/2 years now and we have been been encouraged and blessed by the beauty which surrounds us!
Thank you all again! May the Lord bless your day, Frannie
Dear Frannie, I love the picture of you with the tulip. So pretty! Did you get the jumpers in Pennsylvania as well? Or did you make them yourself? I look forward to seeing the rest of your outfits this week. And thanks for putting my blog in your blog roll! :-) Blessings!
